In the Miguel Hidalgo borough, the edition of the athletic race "Encarreradas" will take place, which will start from Campo Marte and will have the participation of more than 3,000 women. The mayor, Mauricio Tabe, highlighted the programs implemented since the beginning of his administration to benefit women, such as 'Pa las Jefas', 'Manos a la Olla', 'Puntos Violeta', and 'Reacción Violeta' with the orange ambulance, aiming to provide equal opportunities and freedom for women.

It was announced that the race events will be held weekly and will have a specialized team, mainly outside high schools. Additionally, the launch of the Violet Medical Unit was announced, which will travel throughout the borough offering free health services and prevention of gender violence, thus reinforcing the commitment to prioritize women in all actions.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, 44 cultural and sports activities will take place in the borough, including workshops, talks, exhibitions, and concerts. The Mobile Violet Medical Unit will provide gynecological care, guidance on sexual and reproductive health, as well as counseling to prevent violence.

Mayor Mauricio Tabe emphasized the importance of recognizing the injustice surrounding the unpaid work that many women do daily, highlighting the need to value and dignify this work. It was announced that a Health Fair will be held with the participation of institutions like IMSS and ISSSTE, which will offer medical consultations, rapid tests, and vaccines, among other services, to the women in the area.

Additionally, the fair "Women First: a Meeting of Women and Girls from Miguel Hidalgo" will take place in the borough's esplanade, where 1,000 attendees are expected to participate in various activities. All information about these events is available on the borough's website.
